15 What's new in Zabbix 7.0.10

See breaking changes for this version.

PHP support

The maximum supported version for PHP is now 8.4.

TimescaleDB 2.18 support

The maximum supported version for TimescaleDB is now 2.18.X.

Host availability status calculation

The availability status of all host interfaces of a single type (Agent, SNMP, IPMI, JMX) is now determined only by those interfaces that are used by at least one enabled item. It is no longer determined by all interfaces of the same type, regardless of whether any items use them.

Information column in action list

An Info column has been added to the action list. If everything is working correctly, nothing is displayed in this column. In case of errors, such as missing action operations or conditions after upgrade/low-level discovery, a warning icon is displayed. You can hover over the icon to see a tooltip with the error description.

Additionally, actions are no longer being disabled:

  • if a user deletes objects used in action conditions or operations;
  • if objects used in action conditions or operations are no longer discovered by LLD.

Now, when attempting to delete objects that are used in action conditions or operations, the user will receive a corresponding error message. Previously, objects were simply deleted without any warning and the action was disabled, which was not entirely transparent.

User parameter added to Redis Zabbix agent 2 plugin

In the Redis Zabbix agent 2 plugin configuration file, the User parameter now allows specifying a username for authenticating with Redis servers that use Access Control Lists (ACLs), which provides an alternative to using a global administrator password.
