Launch event
During the celebrations that took place on Friday, November 24, Zabbix CEO in Latin America Luciano Alves, along with Manuel Haro, presented the verticals of interest in terms of project development.
Those who signed up for the challenge, in addition to participating in free workshops and training sessions, will have the opportunity to develop projects that, at the end of the challenge, may be awarded with scholarships, as well as the opportunity to participate in the main event on the product in Latin America, Zabbix Conference Latam 2024, which will take place in June 2024, in São Paulo, Brazil.
The Zabbix Innova Challenge execution schedule was presented at the event. According to Fundação DEDICA President Manuel Haro, Zabbix’s support regarding the development of the activity is essential for optimizing the consolidation of strategic alliances.
“It’s a priority to consolidate strategic alliances with leading corporations and foundations at a global level that enable the development and implementation of cutting-edge open source technologies that drive service-based business models and, in a very important way, those committed to a philosophy of an open collaboration community of free software and open source, such as the great Zabbix Project, which it is a great privilege to collaborate with”, says Haro.
According to Luciano Alves, Zabbix CEO in Latin America and the officer responsible for the office in Mexico, this activity is part of the company’s purpose, which is to promote education and change the world for the better through the solutions provided. “We’re very excited about the launch of the Zabbix Innova Challenge, and we believe that this project has the potential to change the way the tech community in Mexico takes on challenges ahead”, says Alves.
“The active participation of young people is essential for the continuous success of the tech industry, and this challenge will provide a unique and exclusive platform so they can develop skills, collaborate and shape the tech landscape in Mexico. This is a project that we consider as a pilot project, as our interest is to implement it other countries, such as Brazil and Colombia.”.
Open calls for the Zabbix Innova Challenge will start on December 4 and the final event is scheduled to take place in March 2024. Participation in this challenge is free and the event is intended for all students involved in the tech scene.
