Software Security Engineer

Lieu: Zabbix Headquarters, Riga, Latvia

As a part of our team you will:

• Being responsible to implement, test, and operate software security solutions and techniques within software development process
• Perform ongoing security testing and vulnerability assessments
• Consult and educate team members on secure coding practices
• Provide security guidance to the development team
• Conduct risk assessments for new features and services
• Contribute to all levels of architecture with a focus on security
• Maintain and update security guidelines and internal procedures
• Troubleshoot and debug security-related issues as they arise
• Implement security tools and automation to improve security processes
• Identify, triage and facilitate the resolution of security vulnerabilities
• Integrate security as a core component of the CI/CD pipeline
• Perform reactive incident response to security events
• Develop, implement and monitor proactive security measures

What we expect:

• Relevant education in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field
• 2 years of hands-on experience as a Software Security Engineer or a similar role
• 3 years of experience in security within software development environments (e.g., C, C++, PHP, JavaScript, Go)
• Experience in collaborating with external service providers
• Strong analytical and self management skills
• Excellent cooperation and collaboration skills
• In-depth understanding of web application security, including hands-on exploitation skills
• Familiarity with secure development practices and security testing techniques (e.g., SAST, DAST, fuzzing)
• Experience working with Unix/Linux systems
• CISSP, CSSLP, CEH are considered as advantage

Rémunération:

• Monthly salary (gross): 4600.00 to 5100.00 EUR
